Congratulations on setting up your Wonderpod account! Now, let’s walk through creating your first podcast from a newsletter or blog email.

Step 1: Forward a Past Newsletter Email

To ensure everything is set up correctly, start by forwarding a past newsletter email to the unique email address provided for your podcast. This allows you to:

  • Verify that Wonderpod is successfully receiving emails.
  • Confirm how the email content will be transformed into an audio podcast.

Best Practice

Wonderpod works best with newsletters where the full content is included in the email body. If your newsletter primarily consists of links, the podcast output may not be ideal, as Wonderpod doesn’t process content behind those links.

Here’s how to forward your email: 1. Open the email you’d like to test in your email client. 2. Click on the "Forward" button. 3. Paste the unique podcast email address in the recipient field. 4. Send the email.

Within a few minutes, Wonderpod will process the email and generate a podcast episode. You can review the episode in your podcast dashboard. Additionally, you will receive an email notification as soon as the episode is ready.

Step 2: Add Wonderpod as a Regular Recipient

Once you’re satisfied with the test, the next step is to automate the process by adding the Wonderpod email address as a regular recipient of your newsletter. This ensures that every new issue is automatically converted into a podcast episode without any additional effort.

To add Wonderpod as a recipient:

  1. Log in to your newsletter service: Open the platform where you manage your newsletter (e.g., Substack, Mailchimp, or other).
  2. Add a new subscriber: Use the provided podcast email address as the recipient.
  3. Save the changes: Confirm that the new recipient has been added successfully.

From now on, every new newsletter you send will be transformed into a podcast episode and appear in your Wonderpod dashboard.
